What does GROUPE ARROUGÉ mean by a rail service?
A rail service brings together the resources made available to a rail works contractor to carry out a job on the network: road-rail plant (MEWP, excavator, dumper, trailer) driven by a certified operator, stand-alone operators on your machines, and training of teams for the certifications required on the tracks.
Do you work throughout France?
Yes. The logistics base is in Paris and the machines are delivered by low-loader to all 13 regions of mainland France. Travel allowances are stated in the quote.
Is your plant approved for the SNCF Réseau and RATP networks?
Yes. The road-rail MEWPs, excavators and dumpers in the fleet are approved to travel and work on SNCF Réseau and RATP infrastructure, and are maintained according to the manufacturers' requirements and statutory inspections.
How are the machine and the operator invoiced?
The machine and the operator are two separate lines of the quote, priced separately according to duration, site location and day or night shift. There is no public price list: every job is quoted within 24 working hours.
How long does it take to get a quote or a crew on site?
A quote is returned within 24 working hours. For a planned job, allow 24 to 72 hours for mobilisation depending on fleet availability and distance to the site.
Which road-rail MEWP for a tunnel job?
An electric MEWP: NEOTEC SKY C10 Power-e, SKY C14 Green-e, SKY D14 Green-e, SKY 150e or ELAN C3 Green-e. Zero emissions, low noise, and enough battery for a full night shift.
Can your MEWPs work near the overhead line?
Yes, once the overhead line has been isolated and earthed by the main contractor and under SNCF Réseau or RATP procedures. Our operators are trained in electrical authorisations and the rules for working near electric traction installations.
Does the MEWP come with its operator?
The MEWP is driven by an ARROUGÉ RAIL SERVICE operator holding the CACES R486 and the rail authorisations. The two services, machine and operator, appear on two separate lines of the quote.
Which documents do you supply before the job?
Machine approval certificate, periodic inspection report (VGP), the operator's CACES, TES M and AIPR certificates, and insurance certificate. They are sent to the main contractor before mobilisation.
What attachments are available on your road-rail excavators?
Digging and ditching buckets, sleeper grab, rail grab, light tamping head, clamshell bucket, winch. The equipment is agreed with you at quote stage.
Which authorisation does the excavator operator hold?
The CACES R482 category B3 (road-rail plant), plus TES M, AIPR and first aid (SST). Certificates are sent before the job.
Can the excavator be paired with a dumper or trailer?
Yes. We offer the 5 t road-rail dumper and the road-rail trailer alongside the excavator for supplying and removing materials on the track.
Which machines can your operators work on?
Road-rail MEWPs (CACES R486 A/B), excavators and multipurpose road-rail plant (CACES R482 B3) and road-rail dumpers. They are trained on the main models on the market and adapt to your equipment after a familiarisation.
Which authorisations do you guarantee?
CACES R482 and R486, TES M (safety-critical tasks), AIPR, first aid (SST). Depending on the job: electrical authorisations CH1 CB1 / CH3 CB3. Certificates are supplied before mobilisation.
Do you provide operators as reinforcement or replacement?
Yes. We can provide an operator as reinforcement or to replace an absent driver, day or night, depending on team availability and the notice given.
How is operator provision invoiced?
Per shift, according to the shift (day or night), the length of the assignment (short or long) and the site location (travel allowance). The quote details each line.
Does AK FORMATION issue the CACES?
AK FORMATION provides operator training and preparation for the CACES R486 and R482 tests. The CACES examination itself is organised with a certified partner testing body.
Can the courses be funded by an OPCO?
AK FORMATION's Qualiopi certification is in progress. Once obtained, it will make the courses eligible for OPCO funding (Constructys, AKTO…), CPF depending on the certification sought, and France Travail. Contact AK FORMATION to find out about the funding options currently available.
Can you train on our site?
Yes. In-house sessions are run on your site or at a partner training facility, with the road-rail plant needed for practical work.

Do you work as a subcontractor for companies holding SNCF Réseau contracts?
Yes. Our services are provided as subcontracting or as hire with operator, under the operational control of the contract holder. We supply the documents needed for your subcontracting file (company registration, URSSAF and insurance certificates, authorisations).
What happens if the machine breaks down during the job?
We organise the delivery of a replacement machine from the fleet depending on availability and distance, to protect the works window.
Is a price shown elsewhere on the Internet valid?
No. No price list is published: every service is quoted individually, machine and operator on two separate lines, according to duration, location and day / night shift.
