Our road-rail plant is built for 1,435 mm standard gauge; compatibility with the gauge in use in Malawi (1,067 mm Cape gauge) and approval by the infrastructure manager are confirmed during the study.

Working in Malawi

Can you work in Malawi with your road-rail plant?

Yes, subject to study: road-rail MEWPs and excavators are shipped by low-loader, container or ro-ro with their certified operators. Lead times, customs formalities and local approval are built into the quote.

Which track gauge in Malawi?

The network in Malawi uses 1,067 mm Cape gauge. Our plant is built for standard gauge; adaptation to another gauge is studied with the manufacturer before any mobilisation.

Can you train teams in Malawi?

Yes. AK FORMATION designs in-house sessions in French or English, on site in Malawi or in France: rail safety, road-rail MEWP and excavator operation, overhead-line work, first aid.

Do you work with local companies in Malawi?
