Network of about 3,100 km, 1,067 mm Cape gauge, mostly non-electrified. Infrastructure and operations: National Railways of Zimbabwe.

Our road-rail plant is built for 1,435 mm standard gauge; compatibility with the gauge in use in Zimbabwe (1,067 mm Cape gauge) and approval by the infrastructure manager are confirmed during the study.

Working in Zimbabwe

Can you work in Zimbabwe with your road-rail plant?

Yes, subject to study: road-rail MEWPs and excavators are shipped by low-loader, container or ro-ro with their certified operators. Lead times, customs formalities and local approval are built into the quote.

Which track gauge in Zimbabwe?

The network in Zimbabwe uses 1,067 mm Cape gauge. Our plant is built for standard gauge; adaptation to another gauge is studied with the manufacturer before any mobilization.

Can you train teams in Zimbabwe?

Yes. AK FORMATION designs in-house sessions in French or English, on site in Zimbabwe or in France: rail safety, road-rail MEWP and excavator operation, overhead-line work, first aid.

Do you work with local companies in Zimbabwe?

Yes. We work as a subcontractor to French or European companies engaged in Zimbabwe, and in partnership with local companies: provision of plant and operators, technical support, training.
