GROUPE ARROUGÉ studies jobs in Uganda case by case: road-rail MEWPs and excavators shipped by road or sea with their certified operators, operators provided on long-distance assignment, training of local teams with AK FORMATION, as a subcontractor to French companies or in partnership with local players.

Our road-rail plant is built for 1,435 mm standard gauge; compatibility with the gauge in use in Uganda (metre gauge (1,000 mm)) and approval by the infrastructure manager are confirmed during the study.

Frequently asked questions

Working in Uganda

Can you work in Uganda with your road-rail plant?

Yes, subject to study: road-rail MEWPs and excavators are shipped by low-loader, container or ro-ro with their certified operators. Lead times, customs formalities and local approval are built into the quote.

Which track gauge in Uganda?

The network in Uganda uses metre gauge (1,000 mm). Our plant is built for standard gauge; adaptation to another gauge is studied with the manufacturer before any mobilization.

Can you train teams in Uganda?

Yes. AK FORMATION designs in-house sessions in French or English, on site in Uganda or in France: rail safety, road-rail MEWP and excavator operation, overhead-line work, first aid.

Do you work with local companies in Uganda?

Yes. We work as a subcontractor to French or European companies engaged in Uganda, and in partnership with local companies: provision of plant and operators, technical support, training.
