Network of about 4,600 km, standard gauge (1,435 mm) on recent lines, metre gauge on the historic network, mostly non-electrified. Infrastructure and operations: TRC / TAZARA.

Our road-rail plant is built for 1,435 mm standard gauge; compatibility with the gauge in use in Tanzania (standard gauge (1,435 mm) on recent lines, metre gauge on the historic network) and approval by the infrastructure manager are confirmed during the study.

Working in Tanzania

Can you work in Tanzania with your road-rail plant?

Yes, subject to study: road-rail MEWPs and excavators are shipped by low-loader, container or ro-ro with their certified operators. Lead times, customs formalities and local approval are built into the quote.

Which track gauge in Tanzania?

The network in Tanzania uses standard gauge (1,435 mm) on recent lines, metre gauge on the historic network. Our plant is built for standard gauge; adaptation to another gauge is studied with the manufacturer before any mobilization.

Can you train teams in Tanzania?

Yes. AK FORMATION designs in-house sessions in French or English, on site in Tanzania or in France: rail safety, road-rail MEWP and excavator operation, overhead-line work, first aid.

Do you work with local companies in Tanzania?
